| i think the pvp system will be a big succes with capture the flag and the drunk thing in the pupp and kill your friends etc. :P i think people need the new change to try new systems not like wow its simliar to other games |

It has the possibility but it's too early to say that it will. It's just recently released afterall so of course bugs exist and modifications are needed.
Personally though, I like the fact that AoC is more than just hack and slash, and that you get to be more creative in using your shields and using your position to execute combos. Takes a while to get used to though!
I think it's interesting how it will all play out. Hopefully Funcom will play their cards right. The game looks really nice for a recently released, out of the box game, but the UI bars needs a bit more work, IMO but I guess that's what patches and expansions are for. |

I don't think the PvP system is anything new, honestly. The combat system is very consolish and fun up to a point, but it has its issues. The addition of two extra attacks at 40 ( Q and E ) with no new shields means you have five attacks for three directional shields.
Also, at this point in time, it is possible to circle strafe which makes getting a combo to hit exceedingly difficult. I prefer the older, slower style, for the tactical choices rather than the "These keys are the win" which this combat system tends to revolve around. |

| Its pretty fun when doing Guild vs Guild you can also complete fatalities on other players which is pretty cool, i dont think the rewards have been put in cause i have not seen them but i have noticed the PvP points |

They said that it will be some improvment to the massive PvP aspect of the game very soon, so wait and see :/

I wouldn't say innovation, because at the moment we haven't seen much of the pvp, the only good thing is that it has a really open pvp which is kinda fun.
Time will show with the massive pvp and of course if they give what they promised like the mercenary system and the ranked pvp system which are still on papers and nothing more.
I wish for AoC to stand on his feet but soon because time is running out. |
