The emo protagonist of Final Fantasy 8, Squall’s saving grace is his weapon. Is it a sword? Is it a gun? It’s both. The timing-based trigger added damage to your attacks and his limit break was largely based on timing as well. He has a huge convoluted back story, not unlike Cloud, which takes a little to grasp. If he wasn’t a powerhouse in battle, he wouldn’t even be on this list, however he is one of the only consistent damage dealers in the game.
