GamePedia, an online encyclopedia open to all players, aims to present a game-oriented knowledge base consisting of all game related resources, including games and game companies.
GamePedia allows players to share with others their special gaming experience and what they know about games. Through GamePedia, players can also search for information they need freely. We’re aiming to create a powerful game dictionary through the players’ joint efforts and assistance.
GamePedia offers players a game-oriented knowledge base which is different from other knowledge bases on the internet. Due to its special categorization approaches, GamePedia is capable of providing players more detailed game related resources.
Meanwhile, GamePedia will effectively combine with other resources on the site to make players better understand their favorite games when they download games, browse game images or view game zones on MMOsite.
Entry is the basic unit of the content featured in GamePedia. Each entry has a particular theme which can either be a game name, a game company name or a combination (e.g. 2Moons, Astera Online).
In online computer systems terminology, a tag is a non-hierarchical keyword or term assigned to a piece of information (such as an internet bookmark, digital image, or computer file). This kind of metadata helps describe an item and allows it to be found again by browsing or searching. Tags are chosen informally and personally by the item's creator or by its viewer, depending on the system.
A suitable tag wil make the entry found easier;
Paragraph title, similar to the paragraph title in an article, is used to sort and partition the various aspects of entry content.
Paragraph title, which works in the same way as the paragraph title in an article, is an excellent tool for editors to organize, sort and partition the various aspects of entry content.
The catalog related to the entry with paragraph titles will be automatically displayed when the entry is viewed, so that visitors can freely index all the paragraph titles. From the catalog, visitors can get information about all the aspects of the entry. Click one of the paragraph titles to quickly locate the corresponding content and check it.
Catalog is used to index the paragraph titles of an entry. You can click one of the titles to reach the corresponding paragraph.
For example:
Entry link refers to the link directing to another entry on GamePedia. It is to help visitors better understand the entry content and further expand their reading, as well as strength the connection between entries.
Reference material refers to those reliable and verifiable material quoted in the entry, usually extracted from books, magazines, online resources, etc.
Relevant entry is the entry closely and horizontally related to the current entry. It can help visitors better get through the entry, as well as better understand the information related to the entry.
Edit Conflict refers to the special phenomenon that different editors edit the same version but the valid and valuable data cannot be compatible, making some of the submitted versions unable to be approved. That may be because the submission time between two versions is too close, or the submission process has not completed when the version is being updated. It may even be caused due to the reason different people hold different views.

You can define, explain and describe the entry as completely as possible according to your knowledge and materials found in books /magazines/online resources. You can also take advantage of the function buttons in the edit toolbox.

Enter tag:
When the entry is edited successfully, you can set reasonable tags for it, so as to attract more players to view the entry. You are allowed to enter a maximum of 8 tags with a "," between each tag.

When tags are all entered, you have to select the category to which the entry corresponds:

Correct categorization will help bring more visitors to the corresponding entry.

If you have quoted materials from books, online resources or other articles in your entry content, please make sure to specify their sources in the reference material column. Click the "Edit entry" button at the top right, and the page will jump to the entry edit page.
In the paragraph edit page, you have to enter the modification reasons after modifying the content. Please present the reasons completely and accurately, so as to accelerate the administrator’s review progress, as well as make it convenient for the entry creator or other editors like you to compare the old and new versions.

You can also edit a particular paragraph:
Click the "Edit this paragraph" button at the top right of each paragraph, for example:

If someone is editing this paragraph or this entry like you at the same time, you’ll be unable to edit it; if no one else is doing so at the same time, the page will jump to the paragraph edit page.
In the paragraph edit page, you have to enter the modification reasons after modifying the content. Please try to present the reasons completely and accurately lest the administrator delete your modified version.
You can click to edit the whole entry by modifying the related tags or adding new tags. In other words, you can complete the tag information in the entry edit page.

If you find problems with the entry’s category or you think another category is more suitable for the entry, you can just modify the category in the entry edit page:

The final step is to click the "Submit" button located at the bottom of the page. Congratulations, you have submitted the edited entry successfully!

2. You can reasonably add links of the entries that you’ve edited /viewed or that haven’t been created into the entry content. As long as the links you add are reasonable, visitors will continue to view other relevant entries as directed by the links after finishing the current entry, so as to gain more related information.
The entry catalog is generated automatically, so you don’t need to edit or add it.
If an entry has 4 or more paragraph titles, the catalog will be automatically displayed when the entry is previewed or viewed, allowing visitors to index all the paragraph titles of the entry; if the entry has 3 or less paragraph titles, there will be no catalog displayed.
In addition, each paragraph title of the entry is independent, so there is no subcatalog or subtitle etc.
Relevant entry can strengthen the connection between entries.
